Kia Ora, I’m Jack.

I have lived in Christchurch all my life.

As a person who has had cerebral palsy since birth, I have a lot of lived experience of being a disabled person.

In my spare time, I like to cook, play tabletop games like DND and I also read a fair bit.

I joined I.lead in 2023 and it has granted me a bunch of interesting opportunities that I would not have otherwise. I’m an ardent believer that everyone should be able to live their life with comfort, regardless of ability, so I’m very keen to see what we can do!

Kia ora, my name is Ariel Waldron. I have lived in Ōtautahi/Christchurch for most of my life, and was born in Ōtepoti/Dunedin. I am Pākeha, and identify as queer. I live with Fibromyalgia and chronic migraines, along with other hidden disabilities.

I am excited to be part of the Ōtautahi/Christchurch I.Lead committee, and look forward to helping connect and uplift our disabled youth. It is often hard to find spaces that are disability and youth-friendly in Ōtautahi, and I really hope I.Lead can be part of the solution! I am passionate about making all spaces accessible.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, board games and making my own clothes.

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Hi, my name is Rhiannon, and I’m based in Christchurch.

I enjoy creative outlets, such as Lego, arts & crafts, photography and performing through singing, acting, and dancing.

I also hold a nursing degree. I have a strong passion for supporting people in both their personal and professional lives. Faith is a big part of who I am, and it influences how I show up for others with empathy, care, and hope.

I joined I.Lead because I want to help enable people’s voices to be heard through meaningful action, not just through awareness but true acceptance & change. I hope to use my own experiences, while also valuing and learning from the experiences of others, to support active advocacy and positive outcomes in my community.
