Our Regional I.Lead Committees meet monthly, enabling members to facilitate projects within their area, develop programmes and initiatives for local I.Lead members; and attend expos and conferences. We currently have regional committees in Auckland, Waikato, Manawatū, Wellington, Cantebury, Dunedin, and more!
I.LEAD SHOWCASE DAYS
I.Lead Showcase Days are an opportunity to celebrate, connect, and grow our disabled youth-led movement across Aotearoa. These events are designed to introduce new members, partners, and supporters to I.Lead, while highlighting the impact, leadership, and advocacy driven by disabled young people in our communities.
I.DRIVE LICENSING PROGRAM
Gaining your Driver’s Licence is one of the biggest milestones in starting you on your journey towards independence. YES runs the I.Drive Licensing Programme over a workshop that is interactive and comprehensive to support you in attaining your licence. We currently run workshops in the North Shore of Auckland, South Auckland, West Auckland, Waikato, Manawatū, Wellington, Dunedin, and Christchurch.
WILLIAM PIKE CHALLENGE PROGRAM
Unlock the Outdoors with I.Lead x William Pike Challenge! I.Lead has teamed up with the William Pike Challenge to empower disabled youth to explore the outdoors and stay active! I.Lead will be the trailblazing disabled youth group to take on this exciting challenge. To complete the challenge, participants are required to complete: 5 Outdoor Activities & 20 hours of Community Service & 20 hours of a Passion Project.
TE ARA Tāne: THE PATH OF MEN PROGRAM
A space where disabled men (aged 18-30) can come together, be real, and have honest kōrero about the ups and downs of life — the stuff people don’t always talk about. Whether it’s about identity, relationships, mental health, or just everyday challenges, this is a space where you’ll be heard and understood.
I.PRIDE PROGRAM
I.Pride is a nation-wide group for LGBTQ+, MVPFAFF+, & Takatāpui disabled young people aged 16-30 to form connection and community through a variety of free opportunities.
